Hello! I'm Shelby. I am a toy collector, mainly of model horses, and an artist. On this blog I will likely talk about my art process and post some collection musings/updates.
I've been involved with Breyers since I was about 4 years old, and collected models on and off until I was 17-18, when I really got serious about it. I have over 300 OF models and several other customs, mostly painted by myself. I enjoy draft horses, stock horses, roans, duns, micros/minis and vintage models/molds. I also photo show and participate in the pedigree assignment side of the model horse hobby.
I have several other hobbies and collections. I collect physical media (VHS, DVD, CD), Godzilla figures (articulated and static), general figurines of things I like (anime, bands, etc), dolls (which I also customize), Beanie Babies, and G1 My Little Pony.
As stated, I'm also an artist. I've been drawing my entire life and have been customizing models since 2016/2017. I work mainly in acrylics and use pastels for added detail.
Other tidbits about me are that I'm a horror fan, I'm alternative, I love vampires, I'm neurodivergent (who could've guessed?), I'm a cosplayer and I own 4 cats and 1 dog!
